Craigslist founder Craig Newmark has started a new site – Craigconnects. This site shall help promote non-profit organizations which are known to be doing a great work in their domain. After spending more than 10 years on Craigslist, this is a change which Craig is very excited about.
Craigconnects would not be providing any direct funding to the non-profit organizations but would help promote their cause and request users to donate online. Seven primary areas of focus for Craigconnects would be: Community building, journalism, the Middle East, open and accountable government, service and volunteering, technology for social good, and veterans issues.
As per Craig, this is a long term initiative and he plans to dedicate next 20 years of his life to this cause. You can read more about this startup by clicking here.
